TETINE, NEW ALBUM AND NEW BABY!
Hello!
We're happy to announce the release of Tetine's new album From A Forest Near You this Monday, Feb 8th in all good stores!
From A Forest Near You is Tetine’s 10th artist album & also a luminous DIY collection of tropical mutant punk funk/ new wave & experimental electro-pop fused with minimal cosmic dark-disco.
Recorded in East London during 2009, the album features 14 tracks with funky basslines, drum machine percussion, beautiful synth sequences & discordant guitars, conjuring up a set of highly personal organic/electronic post punk pieces while speaking of identity, utopia, space, uncertainty, sex, relationships, family & loss with a very distinctive melodic and harmonic sense.
At times evocative of the early electronic dance punk scene but also heavily influenced by Brazilian artists such as Os Mutantes, Novos Baianos & Rogerio Sganzerla - via an unconditional love of Kraftwerk, Brian Eno & Can - From A Forest Near You sees Tetine creating melancholic & atmospheric avant-disco with truly adventurous sensibility. The album also feat. collaborations from special guests - LA's minimalists Howard Amb & Sao Paulo's Multiplex.
All songs written, produced and recorded by Bruno Verner and Eliete Mejorado in 2009.
