Soud Seif and Hamza M. Ausiy, 2 painters from Zanzibar will be presenting for this 4th session. Soud Seif started his career as painter in 1998. His artwork deals widely with daily life he paints light and tone work. He participated in art exhibition in USA, Mauritius and Tanzania (Zanzibar and Dar es Salaam).
Hamza Ausiy was born in Zanzibar in 1966. In 2003 he was recommended in the East Africa Residency in Nairobi, where he had enough time to create his style and technique.
His paintings are monochrome, half breeding of impression and abstract using palette knife on canvas. Most of his works were influenced by the environment, history and culture of Zanzibar. He exhibited in Zanzibar, Dar es Salaam, Nairobi, South Africa and America.
Now he works as full time artist in ZAYAA GALLERY studio in Zanzibar.
